Commemorative park at Telok Ayer

Address - Telok Ayer Green Park, Telok Ayer Street, Chinatown Telok Ayer Green Park is located between two major landmarks of Singapore’s heritage, the Thian Hock Keng Temple and the Nagore Durgha Shrine. This area used to be populated by Malay fishing villagers but when Singapore was taken over by the British, this area was then designated for Chinese immigrants. It then became a bustling trading spot for commerce. Today, this park commemorates the historical scenes that went on here via these interesting metal sculptures. These true-to-life statues are incredibly detailed and seem to be trading rice, fishing, and celebrating a traditional Chinese festival.
