A Piece of SG History at Telok Ayer Green

Telok Ayer Green Located along Telok Ayer Street and Boon Tat Street, this small park showcases a small pond and has different sculptures or statues depicting scenes from early immigrants around year 1800. During this time, I was staying at The Clan hotel, where there was a tea ceremony. The tea ceremony master explained a brief background of the history of Telok Ayer, it’s surrounding area, it’s settlers and the tea ceremony itself. It made me appreciate this park more because it gave me a feeling of nostalgia and deeper understanding of the place’s history. It gave me a visual of some of the topics mentioned during the tea ceremony. This park is walking distance from Telok Ayer mrt and Amoy street. Very near it are murals, still depicting a small part of Singapore’s history. Book a hotel in this area via this app and explore the neighborhood.
