Its quiet, unassuming location makes it easy to miss, but once you find it, the small space offers a simple yet creative menu that immediately piques your interest. We decided to try their signature Butternut Chicken Pizza, which features a crispy thin-crust base topped with tender roasted chicken slices and sweet butternut chunks, all infused with rosemary. The pizza was surprisingly flavorful, with the natural sweetness of the butternut complementing the savory chicken. Normally priced at around $12+, we were fortunate enough to try it at $8.50 thanks to a promotion running at the time. Butternut’s menu isn’t limited to pizza. They also serve dishes like Chicken Chop Spaghetti, where you can enjoy a juicy grilled chicken chop on a bed of pasta, paired with sauces like creamy Alfredo or tangy Pomodoro. For a light snack, the sweet potato fries, seasoned with cinnamon and sour plum powder, provide a unique twist on the usual fry offering. Though it's tucked away in a corner of the hawker centre, Butternut offers a refreshing change from the typical food court fare.
