It’s got its romantic name because of the wedding house which is open 24/7 and a couple may get married there any time of the day (useful tip for those who are in a rush 😉). Apart from that, the city itself is very beautiful, cozy and romantic. The cobblestone and narrow streets make you feel like you are somewhere in Europe. There are lots of small stores where you can buy traditional goods and treats; cozy cafes and restaurants with delicious food; nice and comfortable hotels overlooking the Alazani Valley. Definitely worth visiting. If you go to any restaurant there, trying traditional Kakheti barbecue is a must.
