I was imagining Gassho-style houses with piles of rooftops, but unfortunately it wasn't. 😅 This Gassho-style village, which has a beautiful landscape that can be said to be the original landscape of Japan, has been recognized and registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Being registered as a World Heritage Site has increased its popularity, and tourists from both Japan and abroad are visiting. The parking lot was almost full that day as well. The tourists on the tour buses were all foreigners. Just like Takayama, I think 80% were foreigners. There is a hearth room and a Buddhist altar room, and in the past, actual daily utensils, folk tools, and farm tools are on display, as well as red lacquer tableware used for weddings and celebrations.
