A trip through a snowstorm in Hokkaido

I went to Hokkaido on the first day of the new year, but the flight was canceled due to weather conditions, so my friend and I took the Shinkansen to Tokyo, and then flew from Tokyo to Sapporo, Hokkaido 2 days later. We rented a car from RENTAL CAR near the airport (we passed the test in Japan and got a Japanese driver's license). We rented the car for 4 days and drove the entire trip. Itinerary: Sapporo-Otaru-Furano-Sapporo On the way from Otaru to Furano, we encountered a snowstorm. It was terrible, the wind was very strong, and the road was covered with powdery snow, so the sky was filled with dust-like snowflakes. I couldn’t see the road ahead clearly, so I could only drive forward according to the guardrail on the left. . As a southerner, this was the first time for me to see such a big scene. After experiencing it once, I felt that I must live well! The snow in Hokkaido is so beautiful! Like a soufflé? Like cotton? Like ice cream? Makes you want to lick it. We went to Lake Shigeru and Shiraisu Waterfall. Nature is truly amazing! So beautiful! We also went snowboarding at the ski resort and ate lavender ice cream, which almost froze our teeth.
