Shah-i-Zinde is the most important Muslim shrine in the region. The extensive preservation of the ceramic tiles on the buildings provides a unique overview of the history of Islamic art in Central Asia. 📍 Tashkent 📸: 6 Opened in 1977, Tashkent has the first metro in Central Asia. The metro was built to last and can endure earthquakes with a magnitude of 9. Kosmonavtlar Station is dedicated to showcasing cosmonauts. Valentina Tereshkova is the first woman in space. Stations such as Alisher Navoi and Toshkent are all worth visiting. 📍 Bukhara 📸: 7-9 Kalyan Minaret is the last surviving fragment of the Kara-khanid era mosque built by Mohammad Arslan Khan in 1127. Standing tall at 45.6 meters, this unlikely survivor of the city's early days. When Mongols conquered the city, Genghis Khan refused to order its destruction, so it continues to serve as the centerpiece of the city.
