[Aichi] Nagashino Castle, the site of the Battle of Nagashino

#Spring0yenTrip Nagashino Castle is surrounded by a quiet river and trees, and it is so peaceful that it is hard to believe that a fierce battle once took place here. As I walked from the station, the first thing I saw was the castle ruins stone monument and a well-maintained park-like space. There are not many remains, but the remains of the dry moat and earthworks are well preserved, and as I walked, I naturally thought back to the Sengoku period. At the nearby museum, there were exhibits about the musketeers and the battle between the Oda-Tokugawa allied forces and the Takeda forces, and it was interesting to be able to concretely imagine what it was like at the time with maps and models. It is not a flashy tourist spot, but it is a place where you can quietly immerse yourself in history, and I felt that it was worth taking the time to visit.
