Seriously, Wanggangping is unbelievably beautiful! This hidden gem near Chengdu gave me the most magical winter adventure. Here, you can fully immerse yourself in a dreamy snowscape just like in the north. As soon as you step into this world, the rime ice covering the mountains comes into view, like a work of art carefully crafted by nature. And the fairytale cabins gently blanketed in snow make you feel like you're in a romantic Nordic town. The most stunning sight has to be the spectacular sunrise over the golden mountains. The sunlight spills onto the snow-capped peaks, interweaving gold and white – it's breathtaking! And in Wanggangping, you don't have to worry about taking bad photos. Every click of the shutter captures a stunning shot. 📍Location and directions: The destination is Wanggangping Scenic Area in Shimian County, Ya'an City. Just use your navigation app. It's about a three-hour drive from downtown Chengdu. Once you arrive, take the Cloud Cable Car up the mountain (about 20 minutes), then transfer to a sightseeing bus to the Sanping Strange Forest area. Daping is at an altitude of 2,400 meters, and Sanping is at 2,800 meters.
