Shangri-la - Songzanlin Monastery

I have heard of Shangri-la from a mandarin song my mum used to play on radio since young and have always wanted to visit this place described as heaven on earth. Songzanlin Monastery is a must go in Shangri-la, a prequel for my visit to Tibet which is yet to come. Lots of stairs to climb and due to the high altitude it’s extra difficult to climb. Remember to buy oxygen tanks available at convenient stores and pharmacies. Cheapest I got was 10rmb each and it can go up to 50rmb at the various places of interest. Blessed to be finally at Shangri-La’s iconic landmark !
