Hakkasan - Dim-sum with a twist

After closing shop due to COVID in 2020, Hakkasan has opened back up with a bang!!! 🤵🏻‍♀️The service staff is elegant and professional, with a detailed knowledge of every dish. We didn’t have to ask any questions about the dishes because before they were served the staff would give us a synopsis of how each dish was prepared. 🍜 Each dish was perfectly prepared. I would highly recommend the brunch set menu for first timers. you can choose between 3 choices per course and there are 6 courses plus dessert! great way to impress out of towners. they also have a dim sum menu which I would definitely reccomend if you are more familiar with Cantonese food. Pro Tip: Come with an empty stomach, the portions are deceivingly filling. 🖼 The atmosphere is elegant but not snobby. The Bund 18 building is a classical style structure with the interior updated to look like a modern take of a 1920’s restaurant. Great view of the Pearl tower and definitely dress up a little when going. No flip flops or tank tops for men. 🏆 An award winning restaurant. Normally this should not be a criteria for judging a place because there are plenty of great restaurants without them, but in this case it shows. The staff are very dedicated to making the service and food a peasant experience and in the lobby you will find a wall dedicated to an assortment of international and local awards. In Conclusion: If you are trying to impress out of town friends who are new to Chinese food, definitely take them here.
