Hakkasan - Dim-sum with a twist

After closing shop due to COVID in 2020, Hakkasan has opened back up with a bang!!! šŸ¤µšŸ»ā€ā™€ļøThe service staff is elegant and professional, with a detailed knowledge of every dish. We didnā€™t have to ask any questions about the dishes because before they were served the staff would give us a synopsis of how each dish was prepared. šŸœ Each dish was perfectly prepared. I would highly recommend the brunch set menu for first timers. you can choose between 3 choices per course and there are 6 courses plus dessert! great way to impress out of towners. they also have a dim sum menu which I would definitely reccomend if you are more familiar with Cantonese food. Pro Tip: Come with an empty stomach, the portions are deceivingly filling. šŸ–¼ The atmosphere is elegant but not snobby. The Bund 18 building is a classical style structure with the interior updated to look like a modern take of a 1920ā€™s restaurant. Great view of the Pearl tower and definitely dress up a little when going. No flip flops or tank tops for men. šŸ† An award winning restaurant. Normally this should not be a criteria for judging a place because there are plenty of great restaurants without them, but in this case it shows. The staff are very dedicated to making the service and food a peasant experience and in the lobby you will find a wall dedicated to an assortment of international and local awards. In Conclusion: If you are trying to impress out of town friends who are new to Chinese food, definitely take them here. And if you are with more experienced connoisseurs of Cantonese food they will certainly appreciate the nod to old school Cantonese dishes with an elegant twist.šŸ™‚ Address - Zhongshan East 1st Road No. Bund Eighteenth Floor 5, Huangpu Ambiance - Modern, Contemporary, Trendy Highlights - The service, presentation, quality of food Avg.
