Korean BBQ with a Side of K-Pop

Tired of average Korean barbecue with plain seating and low background music? If so, head to Wujiaochang’s Day By Day. We guarantee the barbecue at this restaurant is nothing like you’ve experienced before. As you enter, K-Pop music videos from groups like Big Bang and Blackpink play loudly on a giant screen. In tune with the vibe, most customers barbecue while standing up and moving to the beat of the music. What’s more, every weekend (Friday through Sunday), a DJ spins at the restaurant, shouting out phrases like “put your hands up!” and “are you ready?!” The atmosphere of the restaurant is reminiscent of a nightclub, but for us, the highlight of the experience is the food. The way the meat has been prepared is authentically Korean, and there are some cuts that you simply have to order if you go: 1️⃣ Beef short ribs – Mouth-watering alone but even better when wrapped in lettuce 2️⃣ Lean beef – Thin and chewy, a Korean barbecue staple 3️⃣ Beef tongue – Pairs perfectly with the house dipping sauces Sides: 1️⃣ Tteokbokki – A Korean classic that’ll take you back to the streets of Seoul 2️⃣ Lava egg cake – An egg “cake” filled with beef and cheese. It sounds a bit weird but tastes quite good! Day By Day 📍 Hopson One Shanghai, 5th Floor 🚇 Exit 5 of Wujiaochang Station 💳 Hours: 10:00–22:00 #tripfoodie #urbanexplorer #barbecue #shanghaicuisine #shanghaistyle #shanghaic
