Pasha Turkish Restaurant is located at #125 Nanchang Rd, not far from Aipm mall and subway lines 1, 13 and 10. It is a very nice place with great Turkish cuisusne and great variety of food. Meat is just amazing, we got a platter of 7 various kinds and all of theme were just 💯, humus is stunning and wine is not bad. The service is purely Turkish as well. In China we are a bit used to the fast pace, but here waiters take their time to serve dishes, not without mixing orders as well. A bit slow but very polite. The environment is quite nice, with the interior and atmosphere in general, actually it is very easy to forget you r in China now. The restaurant is also kids-friendly, there is a little play room for kids with some basic toys and a TV on the first floor. #deliciousfood #tripfoodie #tripfoodieshanghai #shanghai #turkish #foodieheaven #foodietrip #deliciousfood#lightthecity#urbanexplorer

🍩 Where the donuts grow? * Shangri-la Pudong hotel's 怡咖啡海鲜自助餐厅 buffet is a good choice if you r travelling with a big company and all of u don't share same taste when talking about food. They have cuisine from all over the world, including Indiand, Turkush and Japanese food, a huge variety of seafood, which is quite fresh, and also a nice variety for those, who own sweet teeth only. * The section with deserts look so amazing, that it is hard the take ones eyes from it. 🍰❤️☕ * During big holidays the place also has DIY food just in the middle of the restaurant, so you can try to do your own Moon cakes during the Moon cake festival, or craft your own dumplings during Chinese New Year. 🍙🥮🥟🍡 . The restaurant is not big (according to Chinese standards), not quite cheap (around 350 per person), but always crowded cuz the food quality worth it. ALSO there is a huge kids room with slides, bubbles and all possible things for kids to play. The location is nice, it is two steps away from the North Bund and The Pearl tower. So after lunch/dinner you can enjoy a walk in a nice area. #shanghai #buffet #seafoodfeast #desert #deliciousfood #foodieheaven #hotelexperience #urbanexplorer#lightthecity#tripfoodie

☕ Drink it, eat it! Shanghai people are famous all around China for their love to coffee. In some small cities of China you can't find even one coffee shop, but in Shanghai there is a huge variety: coffee of all possible kinds from all over the world. M stand is not very different from any other coffee shop, BUT there are two things that really stand out. 1️⃣ Latte coffee in an eatable cup. The size of the cup is a bit smaller than the normal size latte paper cup, but it is made of a delicious cheesecake-crust-like oatmeal cookie (?). The cup inside has a chocolate coating layer, so it doesn't leak, don't worry about that. Just enjoy the drink and eat your cup after. Environment friendly + delicious! 😋 But... (yeah, there is always a "but") this is a real calories sugar bomb, so don't get too carried away 🙈😁 2️⃣ Concrete looking cheesecake 🍰 It looks like somebody just brought it from the construction area. It doesn't taste any different from any other cheesecake, but looks quite exciting💙🤍 This coffee shop has several brunches around Shanghai, my fav one so far is at 1126 Huashan Rd. The area is nice and clean, the view is good, and not too crowded 😁 Love coffee? You know what to do now ☺️☕ #coffeeshop #coffeelover #coffee #coffeetourism #deliciousfood #shanghai #urbanexplorer#lightthecity#tripfoodie

After a lot of hype and buzz around this restaurant, which the waiting crowd also proves again; finally we got the seat on a perfect sunny Friday morning. RAC cafe is an all-in-all French cuisine, so if you are looking for some amazing crepe of all kinds, then this is the place for you. We ordered the default crepe with egg and mushroom. And RAC combo which includes bacon, lettuce, bread and mushroom again. The perfect one for me is the sweet crepe, that gives me four dip options (caramel, chocolate, sugar syrup, and butter). Maybe it is too sweet for many of you out there 😜 but I'm totally satisfied. An interesting fact is that crepe looks exactly like the south indian cuisine Dosa, where the side dips would be made of coconut mashup, tomato mashup and coriander mashup all a bit spicy with chili. As the french too had colonies in India, not sure who got the recipe from whom haha. But overall, I love the fact food has traveled too, around the globe. The prices are also affordable at RAC cafe which makes it a great attraction. P.S. Their timings are 8 am to 10pm due to the huge crowd. Anfu road in Xuhui is the place to go search for !! #tripfoodie #tripfoodieshanghai #frenchcuisine #crepe #urbanexplorer#lightthecity#tripfoodie

Speaking of 中餐 (Chinese cuisine), the most favorite I would recommend is 小笼包 (soup dumplings). As the name goes, the best thing about this dish is the soup that's inside the 包 😁 It is sort of a takeaway food, that you can just buy and carry around to eat whenever you like it. Mainly it got popular to me through the Zhejiang restaurant called 外婆家 (Grandma's kitchen). It is truly a Grandma recipe with immense taste. If you are not good in handling chopsticks, just don't stuck it with and waste the precious soup; instead just don't mind to use your hands. Another must try dish of 外婆家 is the beggar chicken. It's also cooked in the same way, with the amenities that a beggar could possibly have. A whole chicken is wrapped up in an aluminum foil and buried inside the mud, which then will be heated to end up with an extraordinary chicken you can ever have. 外婆家 has many branches in Shanghai & Hangzhou, my frequent visit is in the IAPM mall which is quite easy to find in the B1 floor. Have a taste of it people ! #tripfoodie #tripfoodieshanghai #chinesecuisine #deliciousfood #urbanexplorer#lightthecity#tripfoodie

Our taste buds are naturally made to taste six different tastes such as sweet, sour, salty, bitter, spicy and astringent. South East asian cuisines has never missed to provide that to me. You order three dishes and easily it could attain all of them. Among those, this Thai restaurant situated in Changle road has one of the best thai cuisine in Shanghai. Urban Thai restaurant has been situated here for long time, and the space is quite small; which also assures less customers to pay attention to at the same time. Thus the quality of the food is also great. We ordered the pad thai, thai tea and this octopus look alike shrimp dish 😁. With two of us for that night, three dishes are more fulfilling and eat out the shrimp, cocunut water and coconut out of the one I posted in first picture. It was such an eventful night as we also extended the night in the nearby wine bar. Do visit this restaurant, when you're Shanghai folks ! #tripfoodie #urbanexplorer #tripfoodieshanghai #asiancuisine #thaifood #urbanexplorer#lightthecity#tripfoodie

Shanghai is never short of outdoor brunch places. And spring is the best time to enjoy it. With too much love for avacado in any form like guacamole or toast or whatever; Mexican is always my go to place when I'm super hungry. They also satiate my spicy needs, as their cuisine is also from tropical. I feel most of the tropical places in somehow have the similar taste and flavor except the spices that are local. Situated in the downtown in Xintiandi, this mexican paradise is Mayita. I also heard they have another branch, but I find this place more appealing just because of its outdoor seating. Also we ordered two smoothies, an avocado & a mango in which again the avocado wins haha. Altogether, it's a perfect go-to place during spring. #tripfoodie #tripfoodieshanghai #mexicancuisine #brunchspots #tripfoodie#lightthecity#urbanexplorer

As the spring is already here, it's time for some outdoor brunch. I'm always addicted to the Latin cuisine, and mostly it was over dinner which will ultimately end up in lot of drinking & dancing 😁! But this time, we decided to taste the Latin cuisine when we're in clear state of mind on a fresh morning. Situated in the Hengshan road quite near from the Hengshan road metro station, Colca has an amazing patio seating. On a sunny day, it'll always be crowded for the brunch than dinner; and so, you can feel the buzz this restaurant has created. We ordered a beef soup, pomegranate juice and some spaghetti at the end. The price is reasonable and the tasty dishes make it much worthy. Definitely a more-than-one-time restaurant, in the whole spring. #tripfoodieshanghai #tripfoodie #latincuisine #brunchspots #tripfoodie#lightthecity#urbanexplorer

Situated in Changle road, this Italian place might be a little difficult to find; as this is somewhat inside from the main road. But there's sign board, which points towards Bella Napoli. So there's no way, you can miss this restaurant. Go for their eggplant pizza, Aperol spiritz and some appetizers whichever sounds to you appealing. Bella Napoli also has many branches in Shanghai, which speaks for itself that is quite delicious and so famous. I have been here twice, and they never disappointed me. #tripfoodieshanghai #tripfoodie #italianfood #tripfoodie#lightthecity#urbanexplorer

A yummy bite of China 😋 🥢 The restaurant of Sheng Meng Hotel at #303 Jipu Rd. is well known among the locals for it is interior and delicious Zhejiang style food. The outside of the restaurant is quite average, but when you step inside, there is a whole new world, the door is like a portal to old Chinese street with tiled roofs, terraces, ancient bridges and boats, slowly floating in the ponds full of lotus leaves. 🥢 But it is worth coming not only for the interior, but for delicious Zhejiang province style food as well. But it might be a little challenging to order since there is no English on the menu. But there are pictures, so still not that hard. They also serve stinky fish. Thus I honestly won't recommend it to foreign fellas, but this dish is so hard to cook that it really shows the high class of the whole restaurant. ❤️ My personal top in this restaurant is: sweet taro, pig's feet, pastry cake with fruit, fried frog and tofu soup. It is fine to come with kids, cause you can relax and enjoy your food while they are bisy with exploring the reastaurant. The stuff is quite friendly and as it is common in Chinese culture, people love kids and nobody complains then running around or being a bit noisy. #shanghai #localfood #triplocal #foodieheaven #foodietrip #discoverchina #biteofchina #deliciousfood #zhejiang #zhejiangfood #chinesefood #tripfoodie#lightthecity#urbanexplorer
