If you plan to visit Shanghai, you most definitely should visit Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. I personally love walking along Nanjing Pedestrian Street every time I visit Shanghai. Nanjing Road itself is very long, there is West Nanjing Road and East Nanjing Road. Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is located along East Nanjing Road. 🚈 Getting There - I recommend taking the metro to People’s Square and start walking from there instead of getting off at East Nanjing Station because East Nanjing Station is located at the end of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. 🏨 Hotels - I recommend staying at a 5-star hotel The Shanghai EDITION, it is located at East Nanjing Road which means you have direct access to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street as well as The Bund. You can also stay at a 4-star Conrad Hotel (Former Le Meridien Hotel), it is located right next to East Nanjing Road and People’s Square. 🛍 Shopping - Nanjing Pedestrian Street is a shopping paradise, because it is a shopping street that offers both affordable and luxury brands.
