Shanghai Coastal Scenery: Wusongkou Fort Wetland Park

Location: No. 206, Tanghou Road, Baoshan District, Shanghai Introduction: Wusongkou Fort Wetland Forest Park, located in Baoshan District, Shanghai, is the largest natural wetland park in the city. Originally called Yangjiazui, the area was renamed due to the Qing government establishing naval fortifications at Wusongkou. Situated in the northwest corner of Wusongkou, the park was originally a Yangtze River tidal wetland. Since the 1960s, the land area of the park was formed by backfilling with waste steel slag. In 2005, the local government planned the construction of the wetland forest park to improve the ecological environment. The first phase of the park was completed and opened in May 2007, followed by the second phase in October 2011. Admission: Free Thoughts: In today's era, it's hard to imagine that this place was once a site of war. It's equally difficult to fathom the hardships and tragedies that occurred here in the past.
