The museum's location is quite unique, but getting there isn't inconvenient; it just requires planning. Transportation Tip: While Metro Line 1 provides access to the area, you'll need to walk a short distance from the station unless there are shared bikes (which are very convenient and affordable). Alternatively, you can take a taxi directly to the museum, saving time and effort. Extensive Campus and Highlights Once inside the museum, you'll discover a vast space encompassing multiple buildings, a wealth of exhibitions, and a variety of immersive experiences. History and Knowledge: The museum offers a wealth of knowledge about glass, covering its diverse applications in art, furniture, and decorative items, from its early history to the present day. Glassblowing: Fascinating glassblowing demonstrations are held daily at 1:30 PM. Watch artisans blow glass from bamboo tubes, following the ancient techniques of their Han Dynasty ancestors. This is a truly spectacular experience. Visual Illusions: The walk-through glass floor cleverly exploits depth perception: it's composed of five laminated layers with gaps in between, creating a stunning optical illusion. The sculptures in the glass garden are inlaid with metal oxides, which change color depending on the angle of the sunlight. The play of light and shadow is truly captivating.
