The ruins of the Sihang Warehouse in Shanghai fully preserve a moment in the history of the Anti-Japanese War.

While it's not a must-see, I felt like visiting Shanghai while I was there! I've often heard of the Sihang Warehouse in films and historical stories, but standing before its bullet-riddled, mottled walls in person, I could still feel the intensity of the battle. To call it truly epic is truly an understatement. Standing on the banks of the Suzhou River, it was a crucial strategic junction between the British and French Concessions. The wall that faced the Japanese invasion has been preserved in its original condition, even down to the bullet holes and cannonball penetrations. The Sihang Warehouse Museum also details the location and the course of the battle. Some artifacts and equipment are still preserved, and admission is required.
