Longhua Temple (Shanghai)

#chinatravel A hidden gem in the bustling city of Shanghai, Longhua Temple offers a quiet, spiritual escape. It’s the oldest and largest temple in the city, known for its towering pagoda and well-preserved Buddhist architecture. When I visited, the scent of incense drifted through the air and the peaceful chanting of monks echoed softly. The temple wasn’t crowded, which allowed me to really take in the details—dragon carvings, golden Buddha statues, and ancient bell towers. It’s less touristy than other temples, making it feel authentic and meditative. A perfect spot to take a break from the skyscrapers and crowds of Shanghai.
