#shanghaionbudget Shanghai has so many brunch spots🍳 but here’s one I still really recommend — “pêcher brunch & bistro” 🌟 It’s a low-key spot with such a chill vibe — definitely feels more niche and less commercial. Both the environment and the service were absolutely on point❗️ — Food Highlights — 1️⃣ Guizhou-Style Baked Runny Eggs 🍳 It’s basically like shakshuka, but with a twist — they added deep-fried chili peppers (the kind you often see in Guizhou noodle shops 🌶️). The tomato base wasn’t too heavily spiced like traditional shakshuka, which made it much easier to enjoy. I actually really liked this local fusion take! 2️⃣ Shrimp & Creamy Scrambled Egg Sandwich 🥪 The eggs were super soft and silky, with a nice balance of creamy richness and just a hint of salt. The toast base had what I think was mentaiko sauce (cod roe spread) — which I absolutely LOVE. The first time I had mentaiko was at a yakitori place and it totally blew my mind. Now paired here with soft eggs and shrimp 🍤, plus aromatic scallions on top (the smell hits even before the bite), and popping fish roe — it was next-level satisfying. 100/10.
