On the contrary, this "sense of time" adds character, and it's well-maintained, with a unique atmosphere. The hotel makes small changes every year; this time, I noticed the room cards were wooden, much more upscale than the previous plastic ones. It's these little details that make me like it more and more. Some online reviews mention old facilities or poor signal, but I've never encountered major issues during my stays. Each stay was comfortable, quiet, and relaxing, with consistently good service. Sometimes the staff would surprise me with little treats, like snacks or a cozy room setup, which felt thoughtful. As for when I'll stay again, it's undecided. New hotels have their fun aspects, but hotels like Park Hyatt Shanghai, the "old friend" type, never get boring. Each stay brings a familiar feeling that's unique, perhaps it's the charm of time.
