The Park Hyatt Shanghai and The Puxuan Hotel and Spa in Beijing are sister hotels. Located in the heart of Jing'an District, the hotel is right next to Jing'an Park, and some rooms offer views of Jing'an Temple. The hotel entrance is located on a main road. Walk through the bamboo forest at the entrance, past the stone lions, and through the entrance hall to the lobby. The 50-meter long table connects the front desk and the lobby bar area. The curtain behind the table reveals the forest and pool. This design is excellent and has been imitated by many hotels. At the end of the long table, you can push the door to see more details of the pool, which gives a sense of vacation. Back in the lobby, after admiring the large hanging paintings and exquisite furniture, go upstairs. The 2nd floor is the hotel's western restaurant area. The Michelin-starred restaurant space is divided symmetrically by the central bar and also serves as a breakfast restaurant. The 3rd floor is the hotel's fitness floor + spa. The spa is the hotel's strength and is of high quality. The gym is fully equipped and new, and the infinity pool is beautifully designed. On the other side of the 3rd floor, there is a rest area overlooking the elevated road traffic and a small meeting room. The hotel's meeting facilities are mainly focused on the top floor. The top floor terrace offers a good view, but the view towards Jing'an Temple is blocked by high-rise buildings. The room is not too big, with an area of 85 square meters, but it is quite nice to live in. The living room area is crowded with furniture. The window sofa/sofa stool/dining table/tea table/TV fills the view, making it difficult to stretch your legs. But the guest bedroom area is empty, and the design without bedside tables always feels like something is missing. The bathroom has double basins and is separated from the wet and dry areas. The bathtub is independent and has a view.
