🏙️Many people have probably only seen the Aurora Museum from the perspective of the Bund (that eye-catching, glittering building is it), but I guess not so many have actually visited the museum inside. - 💁‍♀️I had previously bought something like a joint ticket for various attractions in Shanghai, which just happened to include the Aurora Museum, so I made an appointment with a friend to go for a visit. 🌀Actually, the visit was secondary; my friend had a personal motive, which was to check out a rather popular spiral staircase inside the Aurora Museum that they wanted to visit. - 🚇If you take the subway, you still have to walk a bit after getting off. You'll see the Pudong Shangri-La Hotel, and then you just go through it to get to the museum, which you can spot immediately with its glittering facade. - 🧾The Aurora Museum is actually a private museum, and all the exhibits inside are the personal collection of the chairman of Aurora, which feels incredibly impressive. ✨Although the museum looks a bit dated from the outside with its glittering appearance, the inside still has a bit of a French 'Louvre' déjà vu, and the difference between the inside and outside is quite big~ 👀Also, the building of the Aurora Museum itself was the first renovation project in China by the Japanese architect Tadao Ando.
