Early May in Songjiang is an ocean of flowers, with several spots to enjoy nature's beauty, such as the Sea of Flowers Botanical Garden, Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden, Songjiang Zuibai Pond, Songjiang Fangta Garden, and more. Today, let's talk about the Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden, this lush green haven.🌸🌳 What flowers are worth seeing in the Chenshan Botanical Garden in May? Based on my personal experience, the viewing areas can be divided into the following: Rose Garden—Chinese Roses & Roses 🌹 The blooming period of Chinese roses mainly occurs in May and October each year. The Rose Garden is located in the southern part of Chenshan Botanical Garden. After entering from Gate 1 and crossing the Rose Bridge, you can see the entrance. From a distance, it looks like you've entered a colorful fairy tale world. The flowers in the Rose Garden bloom competitively, red, yellow, pink... They intertwine with each other, forming a dazzling sea of flowers.🌺🌷 Water Lily Pond—Water Lilies 🌸💧 To the right of Gate 1 into the botanical garden, through the cherry blossom forest along the winding path, you can see the aquatic plant garden. From afar, you can see green lily pads floating on the water surface, with pink water lilies blooming on top. They lie quietly on the water, as if isolated from the surrounding world, focusing only on their own beauty and tranquility. I stand quietly by the pond, gazing at these blooming water lilies, feeling the peace and beauty they bring.💤🌊 Iris Garden—Iris 🌼🦋 Continuing along the path, you reach the Iris Garden. Since it was early and there were not many visitors, the gardeners were still tending to the flowers. The blue irises under the sunlight looked very charming. I strolled through the garden, stopping from time to time to capture these beautiful moments with my phone.📸💙 Besides these, you can also visit the Perennial Garden and the botanical garden's pond to see a sea of Allium flowers, the Osmanthus Garden to see small yellow flowers, and the Maple Garden to see peonies, among others.
