The botanical garden in spring is unbelievably beautiful

This year marks the grand 50th anniversary of the Shanghai Botanical Garden, and the newly developed northern area has made its fresh debut. With the spring in full swing, it's the perfect time to visit. The northern area is located near Gate 4 on Luocheng Road, where two shell-shaped main buildings house the Subalpine Plant Museum and the Mountain Plant Museum, which are currently still being arranged inside and are not yet open to the public. What's worth visiting at the moment is the Rock Garden, built on winding slopes, where you can meet many fascinating plants for the first time. A heads-up for friends visiting the northern area: be mindful of sun protection! There's basically no shade, and it's fully exposed to the sun. In the southern area, the Peony Garden and the Azalea Garden are recommended in April. These two gardens are adjacent to each other in the western part of the botanical garden. The Peony Garden features antique-style architecture, while the Azalea Garden has artificial rocks and a small stream, both of which are quite beautiful.
