The Holy Trinity Church, located at No. 219 Jiujiang Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai, was founded in the fifth year of Emperor Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty (1866). The Holy Trinity Church is characterized by its bare red brick walls both inside and outside, hence it is commonly known as the 'Red Chapel'. It covers an area of 3,500 square meters, with a building area of 2,587 square meters. The plan is in the shape of a Latin cross, and the facade is designed with a high middle and low sides, divided into three sections by three rows of continuous arch colonnades, with pointed arch windows and doors, and a 'round collar style' ceiling decoration on the top.
