Jiading Old Town Half Day Citywalk

I personally like Zhouqiao Old Street in Jiading Old Town. It has the flavor of an old town, with the architectural style of "street in front and river behind" from the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, as well as the atmosphere of fireworks. There are Fahua Pagoda, Confucius Temple, Jiading Museum, and Qiuxia Garden across the street. ❤Recommendation reason: Fahua Pagoda: It was first built in the Southern Song Dynasty, more than 800 years ago. It is a seven-story square pavilion-style pagoda with a wooden ladder inside. Cultural relics from underground palaces during the Yuan and Ming dynasties have been unearthed. Recently there will be an exhibition of underground palace cultural relics from the Yuan and Ming dynasties of the Fahua Pagoda, as well as an introduction to the history of the Fahua Pagoda. You can take a look at it if you have time. Next to it are the Gu Weijun Exhibition Room and the Hu Juewen Exhibition Room, which display the life stories of these two famous people from Jiading. Bamboo Carving Museum: Introduces bamboo carving relief techniques, some of which are so beautiful! There are some embroidery, jade carvings, bamboo weaving and other crafts on the second floor. Walking along the river, the exterior walls of several teahouses were covered with ivy, which sparkled brightly in the afterglow of the setting sun. Jiading Museum: The architecture of the museum itself is quite beautiful, with rockery, pavilions, corridors, etc. in the backyard. I didn’t go to Qiuxiapu, but I recommend it to those who have time. Confucius Temple: Starting from May 22, 2023, the Jiading Confucius Temple will be closed for an overall renovation lasting about 7 months. Don't run away!
