The recently renovated Shanghai Library (East) - 上海图书馆(东馆) in Pudong is just amazing. It is just 5 min walk from the Science and technology Museum/上海科技馆 subway stop. It is also very close to Century Park/世纪公园 and a Japanese area where with lots of cute Japanese restaurants along the river. A really cool spot if you are into architecture or simply looking to fill some free time around Pudong. Has its own café inside as well as a Manner store. Also a perfect spot if you want to do some productive work - available wifi, 3 floors of tables with charging points, lots of natural light as well as many sofas spread around for you relax.
