Lingang quest: Nanhuixincheng beach

Shanghai keeps extending its limits and Lingang new city is one of those places near our cosmopolitan city that is hard to believe you are still in Shanghai. Located around 80 km away from downtown, you get to explore the wetlands, the Dishui Lake and Nanhuixincheng beach. Best part: it’s free! Nanhuixincheng beach 🏝 is not a place to swim, or perform any kind of sport/fishing activities. You can come to have a nice walk through the sand, wet your feet in the cold water, seek for crabs 🦀 (too small to eat) and have a wonderful time with your family. Beach color is brown due to high amount of sediments in the water, caused by Changjiang’s river mouth. Therefore, fishing and aquatic sports are not allowed. However, this doesn’t limit people to come and visit this area.
