Lingang Quest 5: Sushi

Lingang area is located in Southern coast of Shanghai, by end of metro Line 16. Although, feels like a completely different city. Worths the visit!! Shitamachi is a sushi restaurant located in Shanyuan Rd shopping mall, next to Shanghai Maritime University. Place is quite nicely decorated, waitresses always pass by you to check if you have enough fruity tea with your food or give you tips on how to enjoy your meals even more. For example, to eat your mochi hot, if not will get too hard to eat (2nd pic, middle dish). First pic it’s liver sushi, quite delicious, but too small. Shiitake mushrooms had a great flavor, also the takoyaki (octopus) balls were amazing. We got a second takoyaki dish on the house, very appreciated. Chicken rice came with miso soup, very delicious too, yet we were too full to fully enjoy it. Shitamachi also has a big variety of drinking options. Just not for a Thursday afternoon.
