World Cultural Heritage: The Jongmyo Shrine

📝Korea Travelogue part10: Jongmyo Shrine📝 🎞️🎞️🎞️🎞️ The Jongmyo Shrine in Seoul is a shrine where the spirit tablets of the kings and queens of the Joseon Dynasty are enshrined. It still retains its original appearance from the 16th century and is also one of the World Cultural Heritages. The site is only open for entry at designated times on weekdays and can only be visited with a guide. It is only open for free visits on Saturdays, allowing visitors to stroll around at their own pace and leisure. Ps. Like Gyeongbokgung Palace, Jongmyo Shrine is closed on Tuesdays. 🖼️🖼️🖼️🖼️ Jongmyo Shrine is the least visited among the five grand palaces in Seoul, and the nature of the shrine makes the entire area even more serene. During the visit, I also encountered three little foxes affectionately licking each other. I think they are foxes, but if I'm mistaken, feel free to tell me what they really are 😂.
