Seoul Ancestral Shrine Visiting Guide

Seoul Ancestral Shrine, as the sacrificial hall for the royal family of the Joseon Dynasty, has been in existence for over five hundred and sixty years. It is the earliest and most credible place to honor Confucianism, and currently retains four buildings. Among them, the main hall is under maintenance, and the Yongning Hall can be viewed from the outside. In 1995, it was designated as a World Cultural Heritage site. 🎫 Visiting the Ancestral Shrine is not possible at any time: there are Chinese-speaking guides available on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday at 11 AM and 3 PM. Other languages such as Korean, English, and Japanese are also available, with times shown in image three. During these times, visitors cannot enter freely to tour the interior; they must be led in and out by a guide. As long as you understand, you can choose any language freely. On other dates, you can enter freely, but it is not recommended. The interior buildings are used for sacrificial purposes, so they are quite simple, and without an introduction, the visit may seem too simplistic. 🎫 A ticket costs one thousand won, and the ticket prices for attractions in Seoul are generally very cheap.
