transportation- Option 1. Bus 🚌 (100 minutes) Take the Madrid Metro to Moncloa Station, get off and see the Bus sign, then walk to the 8/9 bus platform on the upper level. It is recommended to buy the ticket first on the official website Avanza (€6.1), and you can choose not to have travel insurance. You can also buy tickets at the counter or vending machine on the spot, but there are often no tickets on Saturdays and Sundays. I saw other locals buying tickets on the bus. Just take the bus to the main bus station. Option 2. Train 🚊 Transfer to bus (within 1 hour) Take a bus from Madrid to Chamartin train station, then take a train to Segovia Guiomar, and then take bus No. 11 up the mountain. The train seats are more comfortable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️It is recommended to take the bus on the way there because the bus stop is closer to the attraction. On my return trip, I took bus No. 11 from the mountain for €2.5 and transferred to the train. The bus and train schedules are not very flexible, so it is recommended to buy train tickets online in advance. The train is fast, but it takes about 10 minutes to transfer to the center of Madrid due to renovations. Local attractions - Segovia Aqueduct/ Iglesia de San Martín/ Alcázar de Segovia It is also beautiful to take pictures around the aqueduct. I didn’t go inside the castle to visit it. It feels okay outside, but it is suitable for a walk outside if the weather is good. The restaurant is also famous for its roast suckling pig. Suitable for a half-day or full-day itinerary for walking around or taking photos.
