[China Southern Airlines] Long-haul flight report: Amsterdam to Guangzhou

Although China Southern Airlines has already left SkyTeam, it still maintains partnerships with KLM and several SkyTeam member airlines, and SKYTEAM ELITEPLUS members can check in at the SKY PRIORITY desk even when boarding economy class. After checking in, you can take a dedicated escalator to the security checkpoint, so you can complete your baggage inspection in the priority lane. 【Lounge】 When flying business class, you can use KLM's Crown Lounge. I have a Priority Pass, so I used the ASPIRE Lounge while waiting for boarding. 【In-flight/Service】 Economy class has 9 seats in each row in a 3-3-3 layout. The seats are not uncomfortable, but they are a little hard, so they may not be suitable for those who like fluffy seats. The headrests can be bent freely and were relatively comfortable. An amenity kit was included, which is rare in economy class. It contained a toothbrush and eye mask, which is usually only available in premium economy or business class, so this was a nice point. I took the amenity kit home with the Southern Airlines logo on the zipper! Entertainment had a wide variety of movies, including Hollywood and Chinese movies, and the selection was larger than other Chinese airlines. There were also games and external cameras, so it was enough to kill time even on a long flight. A total of three in-flight meals were served on the 11-hour flight. Dinner, a light sandwich, and breakfast were served. For dinner, we had a choice of two types of beef or pork, and for breakfast, we had a choice of sausage omelette or chicken noodle. I was also impressed by the wide variety of drinks available, including cola, Sprite, juice, beer, wine, coffee, tea, and water. [Summary] Recently, Chinese airlines' services have been on par with other Asian airlines, and the same goes for Eastern Airlines and Hainan Airlines. Among them, what I particularly liked about Southern Airlines this time was the extensive in-flight entertainment and the fact that amenity kits were distributed even in economy class.
