It's exciting to watch the planes take off!

|I had to stay at Schiphol Airport for half a day when I was transiting in Amsterdam and returning home. It was too troublesome to go in and out of the city, so I decided to stay at the Sheraton Airport Hotel for one night. Come out of the arrival hall, walk through a large airport mall, there is an escalator at the entrance of the train station. After going up to the second floor, there is a passage connecting to the hotel. It is easy to find. As an airport hotel, some rooms feature airport views. Although there is a terminal between the hotel and the apron, you can still see some beautiful takeoff scenes on the runway in the distance, especially the flying arc against the sunset, which is very beautiful. I used the Marriott suite voucher to upgrade myself, so I could watch the planes take off and rest in a slightly larger room, making the journey back home a little easier. The suite has a simple layout. There is a short corridor after opening the door. The living room is on the left and the bedroom is on the right. The living room has windows on two sides, the west window faces the runway, and the north window faces the left side of the terminal building. The west window is the best place to watch takeoff, especially at sunset, when you can see planes soaring into the sky before the afterglow of the setting sun. The furniture in the living room mainly includes sofas, coffee tables, dining tables and chairs, sideboards and floor lamps, and the space is very spacious. I like to move the coffee table away, put out a yoga mat, and do a keep exercise following my phone. The bedroom window faces north, facing the right side of the terminal. You can see another runway from here. Some large intercontinental aircraft take off from this runway. You can see flights of Singapore Airlines, Etihad Airways and Cathay Pacific. However, the terminal blocked most of the runway, so you could basically only see the planes getting ready to taxi, and then they were already in the air. The bedroom is also spacious, with a set of sofas and floor lamps next to the bedside table on one side, where guests can lie down and read or watch TV. The hotel's executive lounge is small and happy hour ends at 7pm. The daylight hours in the Netherlands are very long in early summer. It was still sunny at 7pm, but dinner in the lounge had already ended. Compared to Europeans who are used to starting dinner very late, 8 o'clock is considered average, and this happy hour that ends at 7 o'clock seems to lack sincerity. So I went to the hotel's fine dining restaurant and ordered a soup, a lamb chop and a mint tea. After eating, you can go back to your room and continue to enjoy the sight of the plane taking off.
