The temple of Father Thuad who walked on the sea @ Wat Phakho, Songkhla

This temple is the residence of Somdej Phra Kho or Luang Pho Thuat Yiap Nam Tale, a monk highly revered by the people. Later, the name was changed to Wat Ratchaprathit, but the locals still call it Wat Pha Kho. The temple has the following interesting things to see: • Phra Suwanna Malik, the Sri Rattana Mahathat Chedi, which contains the relics of the Lord Buddha brought from Sri Lanka • Phra Phuttha Saiyasana or Phra Kotama • A golden Buddha statue in the Parinirvana posture, 18 meters long and 2.5 meters high, made by local craftsmen • A footprint of the Lord Buddha enshrined in a pavilion on the top of the hill, which the locals believe to be the footprint of Somdej Phra Ratchamuni Samiramakunupathacharn or Luang Pho Thuat • A replica and monument of Somdej Phra Ratchamuni Samiram enshrined in a pavilion on the top of the hill Placed next to the Buddha's footprint for people to conveniently pay homage. • Wat Phakho Museum, which opened in 1993, exhibits a variety of items, such as Buddha images, pottery, brassware, machetes, brass betel nut scythes, ancient banknotes and coins, and ceramic tiles.
