San Diego - Decongestra

Santiago de Compostela (Spanish: Santiago de Compostela; meaning "St. James of the Starry Field"), the capital city of the Galicia autonomous community in Spain, is said to be the burial place of St. James, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus, and is one of the three major Christian holy cities (the other two being the Vatican and Jerusalem). Since the Middle Ages, pilgrims have flocked to this place, forming a famous pilgrimage route through northern Spain via various locations in France, known as the Way of St. James. When we arrived, it happened to be the Holy Week parade in Spain. Some devout Christians marched barefoot in the cold weather of early spring. The streets were quiet and solemn when the parade passed by.
