Teotihuacan

Teotihuacan is the largest ancient city ruin in the Americas, which reached its peak in the 4th to 6th centuries. It is located about 50km outside of Mexico City. When you think of Mexico, the first things that come to mind are the Mayan and Aztec civilizations, but these are not the ruins of Teotihuacan, which flourished in the central Mexican highlands. About 500 years after the fall of the Teotihuacan civilization, the Aztecs discovered these magnificent ruins and called them Teotihuacan, which means "place where the gods gather," which is where the name comes from. #Mexico #Teotihuacan
