Located in Sai Ying Pun, Yeon Nam Dong features elegant decor with French-style design, but surprisingly serves modern Korean dishes. This time, we ordered several signature dishes: 1. Bossam over rice (slow-cooked pork belly rice) This dish is beautifully plated, with a somewhat novel sauce. The meat is tender and paired with rice, offering a slightly unique texture. 2. Cheese Kimchi Pancake This pancake is crispy on the outside and soft inside. The melted cheese perfectly blends with the tangy and spicy kimchi, which is delightful, though those who prefer traditional Korean flavors might find this innovative combination a bit unusual. 3. Rice cake and tuna kimbap combo This dish is colorful and visually appealing. The sauce is on the spicy side, suitable for spice lovers. 4. Marinated beef short rib over rice The marinated beef short ribs have a rich flavor that pairs well with white rice, but those who prefer lighter tastes might find it a bit overpowering. The dishes are impeccable in presentation and full of creativity.
