#australiatravel Rottnest Island in Australia was a dream getaway! 🌊 Just a 30-minute ferry ride from Fremantle (around AUD $50 for a round trip), this island paradise is packed with stunning beaches, turquoise waters, and endless adventure. My favorite activity was renting a bike (AUD $30/day) and cycling the car-free roads. Every turn revealed hidden coves and pristine bays perfect for swimming or snorkeling 🏖️. Meeting the famous quokkas 🐾, known as the happiest animals on earth, was an absolute highlight. They’re adorable and so friendly, perfect for that iconic selfie! I also explored Wadjemup Lighthouse, which offers breathtaking views of the entire island. History buffs would enjoy Oliver Hill, with its WWII tunnels and guns. Lunch by the beach at one of the island’s cafes was delicious, though a bit pricey. Still, the fresh seafood paired with ocean views made it worth every dollar.
