#europetrip It is also known as Palazzo della Rovere because Cardinal Domenico della Rovere, in the 15th century, entrusted its construction to the architect Baccio Pontelli. The latter in this specific case drew inspiration from the façade of Palazzo Venezia organized around a large courtyard distributed on two levels, of which the upper one is a hanging garden preceded to the east by a loggia. The interior rooms can boast a cycle of prestigious frescoes by Pinturicchio and his school. The ceiling of the demigods stands out in this context, which develops on 63 small figures painted on paper and inserted in the wooden coffers.
