Beyond the flowerbeds, the park is carved into a steep-sided valley, featuring stunning, year-round running water features and waterfalls along Stinton Creek. Following the winding paths and rustic staircases up and down the terraced gardens provides great free entertainment and a gentle workout. Kids (and adults!) love exploring the many bridges, creeks, and the 44 hectares of native bushland that surrounds the developed gardens. Skip the $10 train ride, use the well-maintained walking paths, and spend that money on a hot coffee at Chalet Healy (or better yet, bring your own thermos!).
