For a savvy #perthonbudget trip, plan your visit during the off-peak season or on a weekday. The entry fee is significantly lower Monday to Friday than on weekends and public holidays. I visited in late autumn, and while the tulips were gone, the park was tranquil, the cool-climate exotic trees (especially the beautiful autumn colours) were magnificent, and the heritage stone paths and water features were just as charming. It felt like I had the whole 59-hectare park to myself. If you must see the spring blooms, visit on a weekday to save on the ticket price and enjoy a much more relaxed, less-crowded atmosphere.
