Exploring Riga, Latvia: A Unique European CityWalk Experience

Starting from Finland, I opted for a combination of 🚢 and 🚌 to reach Riga, the capital of Latvia, instead of flying. I boarded the overnight Viking Line ferry in Helsinki and arrived in Tallinn around 7 AM the next morning. With a Flixbus ticket booked for 9 AM (from Tallinn to Riga), I had a comfortable two-hour window to grab breakfast. For breakfast, I chose McDonald's near Viru Gate. After eating, I headed to the Flixbus station in Tallinn, located at Lastekodu tn 46, about a 25-minute walk away. The station is easy to spot with clear signage 🚉. The bus ride from Tallinn to Riga typically takes around 4 hours (by this point, I was already a seasoned bus traveler after my time in Finland). For a relaxed experience, I recommend dedicating two days to exploring Riga through a city walk.
