Retrace history at Wat Mahathat Worawihan, Ratchaburi

Wat Mahathat Worawihan is an ancient temple with historical significance located in the municipality of Ratchaburi. It was built during the Dvaravati period. Later, a prang and laterite wall were built around it to serve as the center of the city according to the ancient Khmer beliefs about the universe. Inside the temple, there is also a special Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya posture, which has two statues facing each other, which is unique to this temple.
