Pay homage to 'Luang Pho Kaen Chan'

Come and pay respects to 'Luang Pho Kaen Chan', a significant Buddha statue in the alms-holding posture, which is an important sacred object of Ratchaburi province. The statue is made of bronze with a lower part carved from fragrant sandalwood. It stands 2.26 meters tall (approximately 5 cubits) from the feet to the topknot. The alms-holding posture of Luang Pho Kaen Chan is unique compared to other alms-holding postures, as the alms bowl appears to be in a bag, and both of the Buddha's hands are holding a cloth that extends about one span from the bowl. This distinctive feature has become the hallmark of Luang Pho Kaen Chan to this day.
