The Ratchaburi National Museum is located in an old building that was originally the old Ratchaburi Provincial Hall before being renovated and opened as a museum. Inside, important antiques and artifacts of Ratchaburi and the western region are displayed, telling the history from prehistoric times to the Rattanakosin period. The highlight is the display of ancient pottery from the Ban Kubu archaeological site, which is the center of Dvaravati culture in the western region, as well as the display of the history of the multi-ethnic communities living in Ratchaburi, reflecting the unique cultural blend of Ratchaburi province.
