I want to recommend Jiuhua Mountain Wenzong Ancient Village Hotel to the whole world

For the last night at Jiuhua Mountain, I chose a hotel at the foot of the mountain, a bit far from the scenic area. Don’t be fooled by the name— it’s not just some random pseudo-rural homestay in a village. I think it’s basically like Aman Resort. Everywhere is beautiful, and any photo you take looks like a masterpiece. Chinese aesthetic is forever! Also, there are plenty of activities. This hotel is located in the Wuxi Mountain Scenery Resort Area, offering various ball games, cycling through bamboo forests, harvesting rice, digging sweet potatoes. The best part is you can roast and eat the sweet potatoes you dig up. Both of us adults had a blast. The hotel staff are very engaged, explaining how to operate the rice harvesting machines and how to cut rice. Even when soaked in sweat, they stayed with us the whole time—very professional. **Pilgrimage to Jiuhua, sincerity brings blessings** Coming to Jiuhua Mountain, worship and praying for blessings is the main event! This time we specially hired a guide (highly recommended!), otherwise, you’d really miss out on many stories and cultural heritage behind the scenes. The guide was totally worth it! Because we joined a group with others. From the history of Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva’s sacred site, to the legends of each temple, worship etiquette, and ways to pray, the guide explained everything clearly. It felt much more meaningful than wandering and worshipping blindly! (There are many guides at the scenic area entrance.) * **Must-visit spots:** The Flesh Body Hall (where the true body of Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva is kept), Huacheng Temple (the founding temple), Baishou Palace (to see the natural Sleeping Buddha), Tiantai Scenic Area (climb high for breathtaking views). Walking along the incense-filled ancient paths, listening to the morning bells and evening drums, your heart feels incredibly peaceful. * **Tips:** Remember to wear comfortable shoes! There are many steps. Respect customs and watch your words and actions. The vegetarian meals on the mountain are also good, worth trying. Finally, about the room details: before check-in, the butler contacts you to register your car number and ask your arrival time. Upon arrival, the butler will pick you up from the garage and take you directly to the room to check in. I remember this in-room check-in service was last offered only in the villa area of the Ritz-Carlton Sanya. The room comes with postcards—you get one matching the solar term during your stay. You can mail the postcard at the hotel’s post office as a nice souvenir. The post office also has a spot where you can take photos and DIY postcards, which is quite fun (the post office is in the Gengdu Courtyard). The room has several types of books, a coffee machine, snacks, fruit, charging cables—all prepared for you. The minibar is free. The room service utensils are wrapped in cloth, showing great attention to detail. The comb in the toiletry bag is extremely delicate, the best I’ve seen in any hotel, no exception, and the toiletries are by Ferragamo. You can also do handicrafts or copy sutras at the Gengdu Courtyard, with different themes every day.
