#wulanhada Wulanhada volcano geopark. Wow! This place really amazes me with these extinct volcanoes in the middle of the grasslands. One would probably expect horses and many other animals in this area. If you are an outdoor person, this is a wonderful place to be close to nature and animals. The peaks of the volcanos are easy to hike and not challenging But always safety first and watch your footing. Highly recommend to visit a day or two at this park.

Great for photos of the lava landscape. • Explore lava fields – black lava rocks and unique formations nearby make it feel otherworldly. Day 2 (optional) – Smaller Volcanic Cones • Visit Volcano No. 1 and No. 2 for quieter hikes and fewer people. • Try sunrise or sunset for dramatic colors over the grasslands. 🌍 Travel Tips • Getting there: The park is about 60 km from Ulanqab city. No public transport, so hire a driver, rent a car, or join a tour. • Gear: Wear sturdy shoes (lava rocks are sharp). Bring water and snacks — no shops inside. • Best time: Summer and autumn for clear skies; spring can be windy and dusty. • Time needed: Half-day for the main crater, full day to explore all cones. • Stay: Base yourself in Ulanqab city; hotels are limited near the park.
