Half day hike to Kranos hill

#mediterraneanvibes #thessaloniki #greece #hike Kranos hill or Seih Sou is an excellent way to spend half of a day once you’re done with exploring Thessaloniki town. Tip: I did it in July and it was extremely hot, so make sure that you bring enough water, using sunscreen and have a sun hat. There are some different ways to reach the hill from the city: some wide dust roads, and some are paths through the forest, partly overgrown, and not often very well visible. So if you’re a beginner hiker - better stick to wide dust roads, so you won’t get lost. Otherwise if you have some experience - it is very nice and pleasant to hike smaller paths, which will give you more sense of wilderness. Depending on the route you choose, it will take you from one hour to two hours to get up the hill. And there you can rest in the shade and with relative comfort. The are some benches and even a drinking water fountain. The views are beautiful, you can see the entire town beneath you. The sea glares in the rays of sun under blue sky - just perfect! Given that there are numerous roads and paths, you can totally go down by a different way to make the trip even more interesting.
