Putian.

Putian, Fujian Tea flavor reflects local culture. Sour flavors are common in southwest China, but in our exploration of tea flavors in Fujian, we discovered sour tea in Putian. Putian is perhaps better known for its redwood furniture, light cuisine, Putian hospitals, and Meizhou Mazu. Putian also has a rich history, with a culture similar to but independent from southern and northern Fujian, which has influenced the later cultural learning and integration of the two regions. In this city that is not yet highly developed, ancient pagodas and temples from the Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties are often seen. In addition to exploring tea flavors, understanding and capturing the local urban landscape is also a particularly meaningful part of our work. Only with a certain understanding of them can the outline of the local culture be revealed in the tea soup.
